EMS FireCell is EN54-25, 3rd party certified meeting all current standards and making it suitable for any application.
It is a comprehensive analogue addressable fire detection solution with a set of features that make it one of the most advanced fire detection systems available all without the need for cable.
FireCell incorporates industry standard sensors and each device is powered with an alkaline battery pack. The devices communicate with the CIE using secure, fully compliant, dual frequency signalling.
January 2013 saw the addition of FireCell Fusion, a hybrid fire system based on the award winning FireCell wireless fire system.
FireCell and FireCell Fusion can be networked wirelessly and can support up to 8 control panels and in excess of 4,000 wired or wireless devices delivering ultimate flexibility and choice.
Benefits of wireless…
One of the main benefits of wireless Fire Alarm Systems is that they reduce the need to run cables to each individual device.
Modern wireless fire alarm systems will only need cables to be installed to the control and signal booster panel positions to provide a mains supply.
This means that wireless fire alarm systems are ideally suited to listed buildings and heritage sites or any other location where the running of cables may be impractical or intrusive or may disturb room aesthetics.
In some instances conservation bodies prohibit the installation of cables within protected buildings and wireless fire alarm systems may be the only solution to allow the building to comply with current regulations and standards.
Another huge benefit of wireless fire alarm systems is the vastly reduced installation times. As each device is battery powered and does not require a cable to connect it to the fire alarm system, a single device can be installed in around 30 minutes – whereas a hard wired alternative might take weeks or months to install, greatly increasing the installation time and the amount of disruption within the building.
Due to the flexibility and ease of installation, wireless fire alarm systems are also being used as temporary systems. Some building companies use wireless fire alarm systems on sites where fire detection is required whilst building work is ongoing.
These systems can be installed as the building work commences and be used until the project is finished. The system can then be simply taken down ready to be used on the next project. The benefit of flexibility can also be seen when using wireless fire alarm systems on projects with phased construction works. The devices can be simply added and removed as work is ongoing without having to add and remove cables and therefore speeding up the construction process.
